

Using the command line tool "prime-select" did the trick (e.g.: prime-select nvidia) I switched to the Intel card using nvidia-settings, reboot, but then couldn't launch nvidia-settings again to switch back. I opted to use 3rd party drivers during the process I deactivated "Fast Boot" in Windows (in the What does the Power Button do" options). Note that it seems to be only necessary for dual-boot. I deactivated Secure Boot in the BIOS as well. Lot of documentation on how to do that, here's one. Must activate AHCI mode in the BIOS, which is a bit of a pain since Windows must be made aware of it too.
